After saying goodbye to Jon we headed out around 11 am. It was only about 1 hour 45 minute drive to LaQuinta Inn in Garland TX. I tried to cancel this hotel when we decided to stay at Jon and Leigh’s house and try to get one a little closer to our next stop but it was too late to get a refund so we decided a short trip would be a nice change and keep it. We unhooked the trailer and headed down to Windsurf Bay Park which was only about 10 minutes from the hotel. Made sandwiches and just hung out and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Around 3 we headed back to the hotel to check in. Hotel is right off the highway but very nice and clean. Plenty of room to park. For dinner we went to Primo’s Tex Mex Grille close to where we went this afternoon. Sat outside facing the river and had a delicious meal and yummy Mango Frozen Margarita, actually two! Excellent meal.
Next day up and out by 7am to head to our next stop. My only complaint at these hotels around here is there is never any fresh fruits other than an apple and no yogurts. Lots of carbs🤨
