May 7

After a night of thunderstorms we were up and out by 8am. We headed over to Discount Tire in Nashville to get our new tire for the trailer. Finished up by 10:30 and now headed over to Persimmon Hill Recreation Area, Oakland, MS. Beautiful, sunny day 80°. Long, pretty boring ride along Rt 40, but crossed Tennessee River. Very pretty.
About 1:00 we stopped at a rest stop and had something to eat. We headed out on that long, boring road and about 3:00 we arrived at Graceland. We got out and walked around, bought a coffee mug and some ice cream. Of course I got the Peanut Butter and Banana cone and it was so yummy.

Heading out about 4:15 to go to Persimmon Hill Enid Lake in Oakland, MS. Arrived about 5:30. Absolutely beautiful area, wooded and our site is right on the lake. Driving into the campground we saw about 10 deer❤️  It’s 6:30 and 83°. Another love 💕. We just hung out, showered and cooked dinner. We had pea soup with biscuits. I think this is the prettiest campground so far. Restrooms and showers were very nice! I don’t know how they work this but there is no check in or check out. There was a tag on our site but that’s it.
So off to bed and enjoying the beautiful warm night.
