Today we are half way through or trip. I can’t believe it’s 3 weeks already.
We were up, had breakfast and left Bumbleberry by 7:30. It started to sprinkle as we were leaving. This is the first rain we’ve seen in three weeks but by the time we left Springdale it was nice again.
Driving I 55 through the upper left corner of Arizona were gorgeous rock mountains, Virgin River Gorge. This 29 mile strip is Mohave Country.
We got into Las Vegas to have our 12,000 mile check at Subaru of Las Vegas. It was such a nice experience. Free coffee, granola bars and great service! We were back on the road by 10:30 to head over to the Hoover Dam, about 45 minutes from Las Vegas. When we arrived at the Dam it was 90°. We walked around and took some pictures. Couldn’t take the tour because the elevators weren’t working.
After we set up we drove a short drive down to the lake. It was very cold but refreshing. Lots of kayaks paddling around.
We grabbed some sandwiches and went back to our air-conditioned pop up. About a quarter mile down the road Tom spotted some bighorn sheep so i grabbed my phone to get some pictures.
