Up and out by 8 am heading to Drury Inn in Phoenix for a night. We are going to stop in Tucson to meet Kristin for lunch. This is another beautiful morning. 70° and sunny.
We met Kristin at El Güero Canelo and ate. Seeing  Kristin was awesome! She’s always so much fun.
Can’t wait to spend more time with her in January at Gina’s wedding. Now off to Phoenix...

It’s 96°, hot and dry. The air quality isn’t very good here and it really bothers my eyes. Every river and creek we drive over is bone dry. We’ve been seeing a lot of dust devils in the area and lots of palm trees which really seem out of place because they are not native to this area.  Traffic is awful driving through Phoenix and took us longer then expected to get to the hotel. When we did arrive we were very pleased with everything. Our room was very nice and clean. We did laundry and then between 5:30 and 7:00 they had a Free Kickback with lots of different foods and 3 free drinks which were very good also. There was also free popcorn and soda during the day.
We met two men there and one had a sailboat and BMW motorcycle so he had a lot in common with Tom. The other one worked in mining and did a lot of traveling. He also loves Cape Breton!
After that we went to the store to pick up some stuff we’ll need for the two days at the Grand Canyon, came back and headed to bed. Early day tomorrow and a long drive.
